The "Cueva del Muro", a cave located under the gardens alongside the old wall in Benalmádena Pueblo, is to be converted into a museum. A group of students from the local archaeology training workshop are about to start work in the cave, their aim being to establish its historic value and study its rock formations, with a view to opening it up as a museum for the archaeological exhibits, currently on display in the municipal museum, which were found in local caves and date back to neolithic periods. Archaeology is one of the five specialities studied by 40 young people in the training workshops, financed by the Ministry of Employment. |
