SECURITY
Monteparaiso Security Bulletin No. 2
Sitio de Calahonda 20 de Febrero 2003

Dear owner:
We are sending you this letter to clear up the misunderstanding that arose in the meeting held at the Club La Naranja last December when information was given about the security service and we tried to clarify the services which could be carried out by the security company and their guards. (Two guards for 24 hours with an extra guard for 12 hours during evening-night).

Therefore we would like to state very clearly that "it is the duty of the guards to attend to the calls of any owner of this urbanisation including the residents of the sub-communities in the case of robberies, accidents, suspicious people and activities which are disturbing to others...

On the other hand the Board of Directors is trying to achieve improvements and a greater efficiency of the security service, so that the maximum security of the people living in this Urbanisation can be guaranteed, taking into account the great number of new dwellings built in Sitio de Calahonda. For that, two decisions were made:- The first one is to prepare a list of the services which we would like the company to carry out (enclosed find a copy) and the second decision is to increase the surveillance during problematic hours. The last decision means an increase of the General Budget and therefore has to be approved by the General Assembly.

Yours Sincerely,

Coral Castronuño de Sarachaga
Presidenta CUE Sitio de Calahonda

Dear Sirs,
We herewith would like to inform you that the Board of Director in their meeting on 29'''-1-03 agreed to establish a minimum service inside the Urbanization, which the guards should carry out

    - Abandoned cars on the roads.
    - Broken lamp posts and/or globes.
    - In case of leaking water or drainage.
    - Damages of any kind of urban objects as road signs, litter baskets, vats, etc.
    - Damages of roads, pavements, cabins and main holes.
    - Dumping of garden rubbish, debris, concrete, etc. in any common areas.
    - Any construction or repairs which could implicate deterioration of common areas or occupation of pavements or garden areas.

  • Attending the call of any owner in case of robbery and advising them what to do next, this advise may either be given by the guard or by the staff at the central

  • Attending in case of accidents and assisting the individual involved in such.

  • To call the attention of anyone who parks or drives disorderly, to tell children not to skate in dangerous areas and to call the attention to anyone who is celebrating noisy parties or just making too much noise.

  • Making periodic rounds in the sub-communities, according to the opinion indicated by the Board of Directors.

  • To follow any suspicious person or vehicle from the moment of entering the Urbanization till their leave.

  • Preventing the access of heavy lorries and informing them about alternative routes.
On the other hand, we would like you to study the following recommendation: To differentiate the cars which belong to the technical service of the security company, and to do the rounds accompanied by dogs to such places where a dog could be of great help to the guard and serve as a mean of intimidation. (for example Av. de España).

We also would like to ask you to present any suggestion you find convenient to improve the security service as well as any other service which might be developed.

Thanking you in advance for your kind attention.
